Chinese Woman Writes Canaan Hymns Loves the Precious Cross

I honestly wept as I watched this video.  Xiao Min is a young woman in China who has written more than 1000 hymns sung by the underground Chinese house church Christians.  Xiao Min was arrested and imprisoned for writing these songs–this will explain the lyrics to the following song.  (People in China are not permitted to see You Tube videos). Please note the English translation to the words below the video.

IN THE DARK NIGHT

In the dark night, I have seen the dawn.
In the dark night, I have seen the morning star.
In the dark night, I lift my eyes to God.
Songs of praise sound even sweeter!

In the dark night, flowers are more fragrant.
In the dark night, footsteps are more determined.
A journey in the dark, is close to its end.
Remember to remain faithful to God!

About Lift the Cross of Jesus!

My day job is writing--I'm an author and publisher of a number of books. More on that later. But there is nothing of greater importance to me than the early morning hours I spend with the Creator of the Universe. Although He knows everything there is to know, His greatest delight isn't to give us knowledge, but to give us love. My highest joy is to watch the sun rise with notebook in hand and write the words he speaks to my heart. I want to share some of those words with you here . . . words on the cross.
