Not Only God’s Message, but Our Own Lives

“We loved you dearly—so dearly that we gave you not only God’s message but our own lives, too  (TLB  I Thessalonians 2:8).”

My friends, during this month of December let’s share our salvation stories on this blog.  Again I invite you (yes, YOU!) to send in your story of how you were saved and honor Jesus on his birthday.

I can’t get this off my mind or heart.  100 years from now, we will ALL be in eternity, heaven or hell.  This month we get a chance to point our loved ones toward heaven.  It doesn’t get any better than that, does it?

Christmas is a special time, a time when our unsaved loved ones are more tenderhearted toward listening to our thoughts, receiving our love, and considering the meaning of life.  Besides, Jesus is worthy of our loyalty and love and praise for all He’s done to bring us as one family to the Father God.

Here’s what you do:

  1. Pray—ask God how to      present your salvation experience (you can present just one aspect of it      or even tell of a time you led someone else to Jesus)
  2. Write—500 words or      less.  (I’ll take up to 600 but no      more than that for a blog!)
  3. Email me your story.   (My email is see   hope        at (@)   comcast    .net         only without all those spaces.  I’m writing it in this way so that I don’t      get spammed!)
  4. Email me your picture(s),      if you have one.  If you don’t have      one, then we’ll work to get a picture of Jesus up there or something that      relates to your story.  I’ll help      you find one.  Don’t worry about the      picture at all.
  5. I will post your salvation      experience on the blog.

I’ll go first, so you have an example of one story in front of you.  Remember, this is YOUR witnessing tool to loved ones for Christmas.

And here’s the center of our LOVE for our family and friends:

“We loved you dearly—so dearly that we gave you not only God’s message but our own lives, too  (TLB  I Thessalonians 2:8).”

Father in heaven, you are so sacred, so special.  How can we give our loved ones not only your message but our own lives, too?  Will you fill us with your thoughts on this?

About Lift the Cross of Jesus!

My day job is writing--I'm an author and publisher of a number of books. More on that later. But there is nothing of greater importance to me than the early morning hours I spend with the Creator of the Universe. Although He knows everything there is to know, His greatest delight isn't to give us knowledge, but to give us love. My highest joy is to watch the sun rise with notebook in hand and write the words he speaks to my heart. I want to share some of those words with you here . . . words on the cross.
