Hello everyone!  Our friend and fellow blogger Jean Oathout is scooting in the door with an Easter poem titled “The Cross, the Cross”.  Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeease look below this poem for a picture of Jean’s newly published E-book, So You Plan to Marry a Man.  And congratulations, Jean, on your new book!  And now, for Jean’s poem on the cross:

THE CROSS THE CROSS

The Cross the Cross what will it be

Only a necklace that you where?

Will your faith be what others see

And do they know you care?

Can you remember what Christ said

As He hung on the Cross?

Have you known that your life’s been lead,

Or have your faith you lost?

Once you have seen God’s love renewed

It’s hoped that you can know

Christ rose up from the grave so you’d

His grace begin to show.

As Easter came our way again

Did you decide to change?

To become Christ’s woman or man

Your habits rearrange?

The Holy Spirit of Christ now

Can help you pass each test.

Today do humbly bow

And in Him come to rest.

May Jesus see the life you live

Is one you find does pay.

He’ll know that from all you will give

A “Job well done” He’ll say.

“He who gets wisdom loves his own soul;

He who keeps understanding will find good.”

(Prov. 19:8)

Father, my desire is to please You. Help me seek Your counsel. Amen

About Lift the Cross of Jesus!

My day job is writing--I'm an author and publisher of a number of books. More on that later. But there is nothing of greater importance to me than the early morning hours I spend with the Creator of the Universe. Although He knows everything there is to know, His greatest delight isn't to give us knowledge, but to give us love. My highest joy is to watch the sun rise with notebook in hand and write the words he speaks to my heart. I want to share some of those words with you here . . . words on the cross.
