About Lift the Cross of Jesus!

My day job is writing--I'm an author and publisher of a number of books. More on that later. But there is nothing of greater importance to me than the early morning hours I spend with the Creator of the Universe. Although He knows everything there is to know, His greatest delight isn't to give us knowledge, but to give us love. My highest joy is to watch the sun rise with notebook in hand and write the words he speaks to my heart. I want to share some of those words with you here . . . words on the cross.

  1. We saw them on a show last week about the Amish who leave their groups. They were a great witness on the show and a real blessing to the man interviewed.

    • I’m eager to hear one of the Lapp brothers testify. David’s message was great last night. They’ve worked with the Waterstreet Mission in Lancaster to help drug addicts and also have a large warehouse in Lancaster where God’s orchestrating huge truckloads of food coming in and the Amish are breaking the food down into sizes to give to the poor. They work with disaster relief, too. Still dressed traditionally, their message is growing leaps and bounds and their prayers were accurate and powerful, not some weak pleading prayer. Beautiful time! The children had rattles and tambourines and ran and danced in the back of the church to the music. How refreshing is that? Little bonnets and pigtails and happy shining faces. God is good!
