The Benefits of the Cross

I am listening to a video by David Wilkerson called “The Benefits of the Cross” by David Wilkerson.  The front of the video says you are allowed to pass this to friends, but not post it to any website.  I want to honor that instruction, so please email me if you’d like to hear this entire message on audio or video!  I’ll send you the link.  Email me at seehopeatcomcastdotnet.

On his video “The Benefits of the Cross”, David Wilkerson said, “There are two sides of the cross.  Man’s side and God’s side . . .  At the cross there was thunder and lightning, rocks were rent in two, the veil in the temple was cut in two and he who dwelt in darkness was now able to come out and the pure light who is our eternal God was able to come out and fully embrace the prodigal, the sinner, through the blood of His own Son.  This is the begnning of the benefit of God’s part of the cross.  The blood cleared away everything that hindered access to the Father.”

My friends, I am keenly aware today that our Father in heaven has our prodigals in His hands.  I am ever so confident when I look at the cross that GOD’S MERCY TRIUMPHS OVER JUDGMENT!

Do you have a child, grandchild, nephew, niece, spouse, parent, or friend who needs God’s mercy today?  THE CROSS IS ENOUGH!  God’s love and mercy is bigger than their sins and your conversations with God covers your loved one with tremendous light, shields, and angels.  That prodigal cannot merit the favor of the Father, it’s already there.  It was given at the cross.

Our part?  Don’t worry!  Continue to talk to God about your loved one and rest assured, heaven is listening!

“For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ.”  (Philippians 3:20 KJV)

About Lift the Cross of Jesus!

My day job is writing--I'm an author and publisher of a number of books. More on that later. But there is nothing of greater importance to me than the early morning hours I spend with the Creator of the Universe. Although He knows everything there is to know, His greatest delight isn't to give us knowledge, but to give us love. My highest joy is to watch the sun rise with notebook in hand and write the words he speaks to my heart. I want to share some of those words with you here . . . words on the cross.
