I want to join my friend and blog buddy Becky Spencer in sending a reminder to you that there is still time to register for the Colorado Christian Writer’s Conference! If you know God has given you the gift of story–or you burn to put your thoughts into words–consider making this your year.
You get to choose your classes so they match where you are in your writing journey.
You get to schedule appointments with agents, editors, and other authors.
You get to enjoy the beauty of the Rocky Mountains right outside your window at the YMCA of Estes Park. (I took this beautiful pictures of the Rockies while standing inside my room looking out the window–no kidding!)
And you get to connect with other believers who are like-minded–who “get” your desire to express yourself (or what God has taught you) through the written word.
Becky Spencer will be leading worship and presenting a missions moment about her work in Swaziland. And many of her friends in the industry will be teaching classes. (You will see Hope at the Philly conference this year, a conference I’ll explain later!)
Is the Lord prompting you to join conference director Marlene Bagnull and worship leader Becky Spencer on the mountain? I hope so! Contact Marlene here:

I will miss all of you, too, Marlene. However, my mama and sisters and I are all heading to the beach together the weekend before! We’ve never taken a trip together. Also, I am so drawn to speak and lead worship in Philly. I did a very small “concert” last Sunday night at my daughter’s school. One of the other school parents took the stage and played drums. When I finished he kept going! No kidding. I looked over and said, “You don’t want to stop do you?” He shook his head no. So we went on. We were “in the zone” with the Lord. Afterward I looked out at the audience and people were crying all over the place. God came to say, “Hello, I love you!” to so many people. Afterward, the drummer/parent said, “Hope, I believe God is calling me to preach repentance and evangelize on the streets. Will you play and sing like this?” Well . . . the Lord is returning SOON!! He’s taking a HOST of people, not just a straggly few desperate Christians! YAY GOD!!!
