How Will I Know What to Do in the Last Days?

How Will I Know What to Do in the Last Days?  7/16/13

But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come (II Timothy 3:1).

Think about it.  How will anyone know what to do in the last days?

The late Keith Green and his wife Melody founded Last Days Ministries in the 80’s.  Keith told people that he believed he would have met Jesus sooner if not for the Christians who led double lives.  Ouch.  And Keith determined not to be one of those Christians.

imagesCADX981UKeith Green once said, “I repent of ever having recorded one single song and ever having performed one concert if my music, and more importantly — my life — has not provoked you into godly jealousy, or to sell out more completely to Jesus!”

Now that’s a statement!  Are we sold out completely to Jesus?

I have to ask myself these questions:

  • Am I willing to walk against the tide?
  • Do I ask God to help me discern social norms, and choose to live like a Christian?
  • Do I seek to develop the culture of heaven on the earth?
  • Do I really believe that Jesus is coming again?
  • Do I seek or ignore the signs that he said would precede his coming?

That little word “do” is so important.  In his song, Sheep and Goats, Keith Green sings, And these shall go away into everlasting fire
but the righteous into everlasting life!

And my friends,
the only difference between these two groups of people,
according to these scriptures:

is what they did and didn’t do!

About Lift the Cross of Jesus!

My day job is writing--I'm an author and publisher of a number of books. More on that later. But there is nothing of greater importance to me than the early morning hours I spend with the Creator of the Universe. Although He knows everything there is to know, His greatest delight isn't to give us knowledge, but to give us love. My highest joy is to watch the sun rise with notebook in hand and write the words he speaks to my heart. I want to share some of those words with you here . . . words on the cross.
