The Kingdom of Heaven is for US!

The Kingdom of Heaven is for US!

And His Name shall be called WONDERFUL, COUNSELOR, ALMIGHTY GOD, EVERLASTING FATHER, and the PRINCE OF PEACE (Isaiah 9:6,7)!

Can you fill in the blanks here?

For unto _____ a child is born. Unto _____ a Son is given.

That’s right.  Unto US, even US in the U.S., the United States of America.  Unto US a Son is given.  Okay, let’s fill in the blank again:

“And the _______________ shall be upon His shoulders.  Of the INCREASE of HIS __________________ there will be NO END!”

That’s right.  “Government”.  God’s government.  And God’s government only increases, never ends, and Jesus rules at the top.

There is a government

  • A kingdom
  • An order to things
  • A peace without corruption
  • And God is at the leadership of this government.

Now, Jesus called God’s government “the kingdom”.  If we are going to excel in these last days, we need to be kingdom minded.  Let’s look at the Gospels.

  • John the Baptist shouted, “Repent!  For the KINGDOM of heaven is at hand!”
  • Jesus told his disciples to pray, “Thy KINGDOM come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.”
  • Jesus placed his hand on a child’s shoulder and told the crowd, “Unless you humble yourself like this little child, you cannot enter the KINGDOM.”

Jesus had something to say to WRITERS, too!  Jesus said, “Every scribe (that’s a writer) who is instructed in the KINGDOM of heaven is like a homeowner who comes out of his house (or his writing cave) with treasures to hand out—he comes out with old things and new things to give away to people.”  (Matthew 13:51,52)

I’m leaving this next Wednesday to teach at the Philadelphia Christian Writers Conference located at Cairn University.  I’ve been asked to talk about preparing for persecution in the last days http://philadelphia.writehisanswer.com/ I hope you’ll join me!

About Lift the Cross of Jesus!

My day job is writing--I'm an author and publisher of a number of books. More on that later. But there is nothing of greater importance to me than the early morning hours I spend with the Creator of the Universe. Although He knows everything there is to know, His greatest delight isn't to give us knowledge, but to give us love. My highest joy is to watch the sun rise with notebook in hand and write the words he speaks to my heart. I want to share some of those words with you here . . . words on the cross.

If you look closely in Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, you’ll note that Jesus said He had come to preach the “gospel of the kingdom of God (or heaven as written in Matthew). So are we missing something when we define the gospel? I think so. The good news for the Jews and us today was Jesus ushered in the Kingdom of God.

  2. Larry, let us know if you get anymore revelation on preaching the “kingdom of the gospel.” I am actually interviewing Daniel Kolenda tomorrow. Daniel now preaches all over Africa and heads Christ forAll Nations, both positions given to him by Evangelist Reinhard Bonnke, who’s seen more than 69,000,000 people born again AND discipled through their evangelist team. Daniel is a 3rd generation preacher and there’s something about that, too.

As individuals, we think about Jesus coming to save our souls. But God had this agenda about bringing His government into the earth and increasing His government through the CROSS of Jesus. That sacrificial act bought back God’s authority to acquire his family again. Yes we are saved as individuals. But God is also after his KINGDOM.

My high school teacher would have written on the chalk board: TOTT. Think On These Things.

Jesus main message was the gospel of the Kingdom of God. This does not detract from the cross or salvation or healing or whatever. It encompasses all of it. In fact, Jesus said, “You must be converted and like a child to enter the Kingdom of God.”

Actually, I wrote an e-Book entitled, “Where’s the Kingdom of God?” Most people don’t know where it is and very little about it. If anyone is interested, you can check it out at Amazon.
