Tree of Life Pictures

Becky mentioned that she visited my “Tree of Life” spot.  She saw a tree in the field that resembled that one always shown on the intro to Little House on the Prairie and asked, “Is that it?  Is that your Tree of Life?”  I quickly explained, “Well, no. The Tree of Life is actually right here.  Invisible to the eye, but very real.”  It is the place where you choose to meet with God and get your direction, information, and life from that place rather than turning to the tree of knowing. For me, my spot to connect with God is on a cement patio that is surrounded with flowers and birds, butterflies, even bugs!

Would you like to see the mocking bird babies that Becky and I saw at “The Tree of Life” last week?  Here you go!  Watch the progression!

And there you have it!  The empty nest!

This month I had a poem published in Creation Illustrated Magazine.  I’ll end this post with the poem, which can be found on the last page, the inside of the cover!

Morning Cheer

Fog outstretched from blue to green, spring 2012 055

Shades in all that can be seen.

Bats take one more starry flight,

Lift the curtain of the night.

Rooster recognizes dawn

All nocturnal creatures yawn.

Laughter fixes all that’s wrong

Chipping sparrow sings her song.

Heaven honors life on earth,Sunset Tweaked

Comforts death and cheers for birth.

Longs for man to lift an ear,

Up to heaven, morning cheer!

About Lift the Cross of Jesus!

My day job is writing--I'm an author and publisher of a number of books. More on that later. But there is nothing of greater importance to me than the early morning hours I spend with the Creator of the Universe. Although He knows everything there is to know, His greatest delight isn't to give us knowledge, but to give us love. My highest joy is to watch the sun rise with notebook in hand and write the words he speaks to my heart. I want to share some of those words with you here . . . words on the cross.
