MISSING FATHERS

But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry (II Timothy 4:5).

I know I said this before, but I must say it again!  It is SO exciting to be alive on the earth in 2013!  I have never seen so many fathers of evangelism being stirred for the United States of America as they are this year, 2013.  EXPECT HARVEST!! Galloping Horse Herd

Faith! Notch it up! This is the year to BELIEVE GOD FOR HARVEST!

God IS sending the old war horses of evangelism, even the fathers of evangelism, to America in this hour!

Look at this!  James Robison has been an evangelist since 1962 and most recently uses his television show Life Today to raise awareness and funds to give water and food to the poor and preach the gospel in the giving.  This father of evangelism strikes at the heart of what is missing in our nation today—FATHERS.   On his website, James Robison said, “We witness today in our own nation millions of citizens seeking to find the missing father by:

1)     seeking the approval of others, when only God’s approval will suffice

2)     engaging in compulsive behavior and addictive practices which prove to be a tragic substitute

3)     becoming pleasure seekers but remaining empty

4)     joining something to find a sense of family or belonging (a team, club, lodge, gang, or even a religious group or church). Any family without a father – the Father – still reveals total emptiness.”

As you read James Robison’s thought above, did you immediately think of a son or daughter you know, young or old, who needs a father?  Pray for that person now.  God wants to minister to the fatherless and your prayers and love WILL make the difference in that person’s life.

I know I’ve just handed you a few links that you may look up. More importantly, I hope

March is the Hebraic month of Nisan/Aviv. In Bible days, this is the month to harvest barley and wave the barley before the Lord as a "wave offering".

I’ve handed you FAITH.  Because this field work ahead of us is going to take faith, commitment, and love if we’re ever to reap the harvest.

About Lift the Cross of Jesus!

My day job is writing--I'm an author and publisher of a number of books. More on that later. But there is nothing of greater importance to me than the early morning hours I spend with the Creator of the Universe. Although He knows everything there is to know, His greatest delight isn't to give us knowledge, but to give us love. My highest joy is to watch the sun rise with notebook in hand and write the words he speaks to my heart. I want to share some of those words with you here . . . words on the cross.

Yes! Fathers….crucial. We point others to the Father and have the privilege to father and mother those around us.
