I will get back to the harvest thoughts on Thursday. All the thoughts about the doves released in the temple caused me to remember something that happened to me in a dream—a dream that I hope will encourage you to guard your heart.
Some time ago I had a dream that involved a beautiful white dove. I was inside a rather vacant large room and someone I know, respect, and love reached inside my abdomen (my spirit man) and tried to move the dove around. I was shocked, but I respected this person and I didn’t want to argue with what they were doing. This person moved the white bird and tried to manipulate him into a different position. Suddenly, the beautiful white dove FLEW—WHOOOOOOOOSH!!
This dove flew out of my middle and I cried out frantically, “No! No! NO! Come Baaack!!”
The dove was disturbed and agitated and it flew into a glass door and was hurt or stunned. I literally cried. “NO! NO! NO! Come back! Here! Come Back!”
In the dream I extended my arm so my elbow was shoulder high and begged the dove to return to me. If you’re thinking that this dove represented the Holy Spirit, you’re right! I thought if I gave Him my arm, He’d see that I welcomed Him and gave him a place in my heart again.
To my great surprise, The Dove FLEW INTO MY EAR! In the dream and in reality I was suddenly filled with the Holy Spirit and woke up from the dream both praising God and crying loudly. I was so grieved that I nearly lost the dove and yet at the same time thrilled that He chose to return through my ear—this is because my greatest desire is to hear His voice.
I hope no one is trying to manipulate you or your relationship with the wonderful Holy Spirit. And I hope that precious Holy Spirit is not being grieved or quenched in any of our lives today.
Sometimes the people we love the most mean to be of help but can grieve our dearest Friend. I don’t know who needed to hear this dream today. But I want you to know that the Holy Spirit will return. Cry out! Call Him! He will come and fill you again.
What is with the 4:44 A.M. time of this writing? and you’re worried about my sleeping habits.
