Weekend in the Harvest Field

IMG_1787

I wish you were with us!  I had a blessed time this weekend visiting with a IMG_1795local family as they worked together in the harvest field.  This girl singing in an outdoor meeting is 20 years old and her brother, age 17, is at the piano!  Cruse and Michelle (pictured in white above) take the “platform” in the grass at a park area beside their church and together with their children brought the gospel to the city of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania Sunday evening.

Cruse asked me to sing and I knew exactly which song!  “YES, Jesus Loves Me!”  I sang those words as a boy and a teenager zoomed by on their bicycles and cars stopped on the road.  People in the surrounding houses sat out on their porches, listening.  Birds flew into the hedges as though someone rang the dinner bell.  I am reminded that all of creation is groaning, awaiting the REVEALING of the SONS of GOD!  Wow, did they get a “revealing” Sunday night!

On the way home, my daughter and I stopped at Wal-Mart.  On the way out of that shopping center, I looked to my right and there in the grass by the stop light was a yard sign with GREG LAURIE’S picture on it and it said in big letters,

HARVEST

I’m telling you–it’s coming!  Can you think of anything better?  Same here!  Jesus is our greatest HOPE for America.

Let’s lift Jesus’ cross!

About Lift the Cross of Jesus!

My day job is writing--I'm an author and publisher of a number of books. More on that later. But there is nothing of greater importance to me than the early morning hours I spend with the Creator of the Universe. Although He knows everything there is to know, His greatest delight isn't to give us knowledge, but to give us love. My highest joy is to watch the sun rise with notebook in hand and write the words he speaks to my heart. I want to share some of those words with you here . . . words on the cross.
