The Tree of Life—the Christian’s Happy Spot

Morning at the Tree of LifeThe people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits. 33 And those of the people who understand shall instruct many (Daniel 11:32,33 NKJV).

As we consider harvest, let’s not forget that each of us must take responsibility for our walk with God, especially in these last days.  Not every Christian will be strong in the end times.  Some people’s hearts will fail because of all the fearful things happening around them.  God’s plainly told us, that the people who KNOW THEIR GOD will be strong and do exploits.

Are you getting nourishment at the Tree of Life every day?  Do you find your time alone img_6920.jpgwith the Savior to be your “most happy spot”?

I was there again this morning, and these words came to me.  I hope they will capture your heart and draw you away to that tree, where God speaks to his child and the child listens, considers, and obeys.

The Tree of Life, its branches spread

Like cell phone tow’rs above my head

So I can hear all God has said

And document His thought.

The fruit I pick, is sweet to taste

But others miss it in their haste.

I indulge–how can I waste?

And document His thought.

Will I choose the Tree of Life or the Tree of Knowledge today?

Its tree trunk stretched beneath my hand,100_4083.jpg

Its silver cord to Beulah Land,

Where I can see what God has planned

And document His thought.

I lift my fingers to a leaf

And instantly I’m healed of grief,

Where darkest sorrows find relief,

I document His thought.

About Lift the Cross of Jesus!

My day job is writing--I'm an author and publisher of a number of books. More on that later. But there is nothing of greater importance to me than the early morning hours I spend with the Creator of the Universe. Although He knows everything there is to know, His greatest delight isn't to give us knowledge, but to give us love. My highest joy is to watch the sun rise with notebook in hand and write the words he speaks to my heart. I want to share some of those words with you here . . . words on the cross.
