Do We Truly Hunger and Thirst for God?

Do we want to know God more than anything else in this entire world? Hang on because hiker map iStock_000002602685SmallI want to share something with you today that will “jumpstart” your engine!

Was there a time in my life when finding His glory, His presence, His wonderful face was all that mattered to me? Perhaps daily cares have consumed my time, thoughts, and energy. Perhaps a sense of hopelessness has engulfed my heart due to circumstances or negative experiences. Will I dare to return?  Will I dare to believe again that if I truly seek Him with all my heart I WILL FIND HIM?

Or, if we’ve never known His fire, His glory, do we hunger and thirst for God today?

I want to tell you that I cannot live without Him. My first morning hours are set aside for Him alone. I journal my questions and listen for His answers.  I read chapters fromfiery sword my Bible and other books God leads me to read.  My new “Kindle Fire” eBook tablet is set to Bible Gateway’s Audio Bible and listen to the Word of God, chapter after chapter. That Kindle Fire HP reader is kindling the FIRE OF GOD inside of me as I give attention to the reading of the Word of God.

All my life I’ve wanted to live in this place–this commitment to daily give my first hours to the Almighty to seek His face.  I’m sorry to say that it took me years to finally surrender the top of my day to seek God.  But what TREASURE I have found!

DO YOU HUNGER AND THIRST FOR GOD? As soon as you can, if you dare to seek the face of the Almighty, set aside a couple hours to go to your prayer closet alone and play this You Tube (audio).

About Lift the Cross of Jesus!

My day job is writing--I'm an author and publisher of a number of books. More on that later. But there is nothing of greater importance to me than the early morning hours I spend with the Creator of the Universe. Although He knows everything there is to know, His greatest delight isn't to give us knowledge, but to give us love. My highest joy is to watch the sun rise with notebook in hand and write the words he speaks to my heart. I want to share some of those words with you here . . . words on the cross.
