Report from Christian “Boots on the Ground” in Iraq

Relief Update

Our teams are safe and the recent air campaign by the U.S. Military has given us some breathing room. In addition the Ministry of Defense is going to escort us into the Mt. Sinjar region to bring relief to the Yazidis and other fleeing minorities. This is no small thing as we are told foreigners have never been to these areas. We also now have a fully capable military security team. At the same time our teams are fearless and we are not hiding from anyone.

We have just purchased $75,000 worth of medicine and we are looking for doctors and medical personnel to deploy with us to help with medical clinics we are running.

We have now secured safe portage for 40′ shipping containers. We need donated bulk supplies like food, hygiene supplies, baby formula, diapers, temporary shelters, kerosene heaters, cooking supplies, etc. There are 700,000 displaced people in Iraq and winter is coming!

We are literally providing care for thousands of people. We are not your typical relief organization that gauges our impact by how many thousands of pounds of resources we move but rather how much we move the hearts of those around us.

A Boy Walks!

A man brought his son to our team asking for help. His son was unable to walk due to a club foot. He had paid thousands for surgery and showed us the scar. His foot was visibly smaller than his other foot.  Our medical team couldn’t help except to lay hands on him and pray that he would be healed. Two days later our team came back. The father was ecstatic! He said “what the surgery couldn’t do, a simple prayer from your team has done and he is healed!”  We saw the boy running around for the first time!  Jesus heals! ( We will send video soon)

Call to Fast & Pray

We are asking our friends and partners to join in a fast on Friday 8/29.  Pray Acts 4:29-31 for the persecuted church in Iraq and our relief teams on the ground.

We believe now is the time of harvest in Iraq and we are praying for an outbreak of signs, wonders and miracles unto salvation as well as a restored altar of consistent worship and prayer in the region.

Acts 4:29-31

Now, Lord, consider their threats and enable your servants to speak your word with great boldness. 30 Stretch out your hand to heal and perform signs and wonders through the name of your holy servant Jesus.” After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly.

Bibles For Every Refugee

We just spent over $10,000 to get the Bible to potentially every refugee in Iraq right now. We now have the ability to transmit the Bible in Arabic and Kurdish to any cell phone or electronic device. For those who do not have an electronic device or cannot read we have acquired 100 Bible audio players that will allow up to 200 people to listen to the Bible at once along with hundreds of pre-loaded mini SD cards for distribution. – Take THAT, ISIS.

We are committed to the expansion of God’s Kingdom with every resource and the expansion of human hearts through acts of love and compassion. Please help us get the word out to support our efforts or make a donation now.

About Lift the Cross of Jesus!

My day job is writing--I'm an author and publisher of a number of books. More on that later. But there is nothing of greater importance to me than the early morning hours I spend with the Creator of the Universe. Although He knows everything there is to know, His greatest delight isn't to give us knowledge, but to give us love. My highest joy is to watch the sun rise with notebook in hand and write the words he speaks to my heart. I want to share some of those words with you here . . . words on the cross.
