TODAY is OUR DAY!

Carol, Larry, Donna, BillieJo, Jo Ann, Jean, Ann, Debbie, Marlene, Julia, and Doi, todaywoman prays looking out window B & W is OUR DAY!

Father we come before you in Jesus’ name.  I ask you to cover every prayer warrior today under the shadow of you wings, under the blood of Jesus Christ that we all would remain hidden and concealed in you–even to the vanishing point from the enemy.  We recognize that we do not war against Burmese military but the principalities, forces of darkness, and wickedness in high places that operate through them.  We put on the full armor of God from head to toe.  We cast down thoughts, reasons, theories of man and command our own thoughts to be in obedience to Jesus Christ.  (II Corinthians 3).  Holy Spirit, please help us pray as promised in Romans 8, with groanings and utterings too deep for words.  Search out the Father’s heart and breathe his desires through us in Jesus’ name.

We LIFT UP THE CROSS of JESUS over the Kachin, Chin, and Karen (kah-REN) Christians inside Burma.  Father, we ask for the Spirit of Wisdom (Isaiah 11) to minister direction to the Christian leaders there. Just as the Spirit of the Lord was upon Jesus on the earth, we now partake of that SAME SPIRIT together with our Burmese brothers and sisters–The spirit of wisdom and understanding, The spirit of counsel and strength, The spirit of knowledge and the fear of the Lord (Isaiah 11).  Father, I go beyond asking for protection for our Christian Burmese family.  I ask that the soldiers in the government army will SEE ANGELS protecting these people and run in the fear of God.  I ask for transformed hearts in the soldiers and the government leaders. Father, send your counselors like Daniel right into the heart of this controlling wickedness.

Lift Jesus' CrossWe ask you to turn this nation UPSIDE DOWN and that the cross of Jesus will be back on the hilltops of Burma’s mountains.  Father, we ask for a great harvest of SOULS inside Burma.

Please grant the Christians courage to advance, that they will not feel paralyzed with fear or worry.  Grant them GRACE to put on the shoes of pethumbnail harvestace and move forward in building your kingdom inside Burma.

We join with the prayers of Burma’s first missionaries, Adoniram and Ann Judson, and we ask that BURMA SHALL BE SAVED in JESUS’ MIGHTY NAME!  AMEN.

About Lift the Cross of Jesus!

My day job is writing--I'm an author and publisher of a number of books. More on that later. But there is nothing of greater importance to me than the early morning hours I spend with the Creator of the Universe. Although He knows everything there is to know, His greatest delight isn't to give us knowledge, but to give us love. My highest joy is to watch the sun rise with notebook in hand and write the words he speaks to my heart. I want to share some of those words with you here . . . words on the cross.

My friend Hope Flinchbaugh at liftjesuscross.com is praying for Burma (Myanmar) today. If you can , please join in so that the Holy Spirit has free reign in this nation, which Open Doors’ World Watch ranks as #25 on its list of most oppressive nations for Christianity.

Lord, I thank You that all things work together for good for those who love God and who are called according to Your purpose. Thus, I pray that thousands of evangelists with fire and love in their hearts are raised up out of the persecutions in Burma to not only evangelize the nation, but also to be sent into China, Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos, Thailand, and all of Asia. Let this day mark the beginning of a new era in Asia.

Yes and Amen! Father, the good work you began in Burma long ago has surely continued, does continue and will go on. We join together and ask that Your hidden work burst forth! May your glory be so visible, the entire world takes notice. May wisdom, courage and joy flood our brothers and sisters-in-Christ–and may they pour out in such a mighty way that thirsty, dying souls will be revived. The death of every saint is precious in your eyes; we ask that fruit be seen from those who have given themselves. May YOU be glorified. In Jesus’ name, Amen

  7. I agree with Billie Jo on this, Lord: “The death of every saint is precious in your eyes; we ask that fruit be seen from those who have given themselves.” Father, may each life laid into the ground be a seed that springs up–one life given for a harvest of MANY in Jesus’ name.
