3rd Blood Moon April 4, 2015

If you listened closely to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s speech yesterday morningEsther or read my blog yesterday very closely, you now know that this week is the Purim Celebration in Israel and Jerusalem.  The story of Esther’s plea for deliverance for the Jews is heard as the book of Esther is read all over Israel during the week of Purim

In yesterday’s blog, (thank you, Larry!) our sister in Israel gave us a peek inside the nation:

“Outside, the shuk is full of colorful baskets and costumes and the shopping carts are full of goodies to put in the baskets and give out to one another in accordance with Esther 9:20-28 .

“Signs announce Purim parties and readings of the book of Esther will take place all over     the country, in homes and chosen spots.  The noise-makers, called groggers or greggers    will clank out their irritating noise whenever the name of Haman is mentioned during the  reading, which helps to keep the children focused on the words.

And in the midst of the preparation for the age-old customs of Purim, we once again   see a   broken protocol and a plea for mercy against annihilation.”

Does our president know about Purim?  Yes.  On March 20, 2012, Huffington Post reported, “During his last visit to the White House, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu gave President Obama a decorated copy of the book of Esther — a story read by many in the following days at Purim services around the world.”

Once again, on March 3, 2015, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu mentioned the Purim celebration going on in Jerusalem this week.  And, like Esther, Netanyahu broke protocol to alert the US leaders that Israel could be “nuked” and annihilated by her enemy, Iran.

Significant?  You bet!

BLOOD MOON REVIEW

This blog is a review of information on the blood moons.  I hope it’s been helpful.  Please stay tuned for more on the blood moons tomorrow.

One more thought. March 17th is election day in Israel, so this may be Prime Minister Netanyahu’s last plea for mercy against annihilation from her enemies.  Oddly, March 20th is a lunar eclipse. It’s time to PRAY.

Why?  The next blood moon is on April 4, 2015, ONE MONTH from today.  I hope you’ll join me here tomorrow.

But when these things begin to come to pass, look up, and lift up your heads; because your redemption draweth nigh (Luke 21).

About Lift the Cross of Jesus!

My day job is writing--I'm an author and publisher of a number of books. More on that later. But there is nothing of greater importance to me than the early morning hours I spend with the Creator of the Universe. Although He knows everything there is to know, His greatest delight isn't to give us knowledge, but to give us love. My highest joy is to watch the sun rise with notebook in hand and write the words he speaks to my heart. I want to share some of those words with you here . . . words on the cross.
