I am in the secret place this morning and the following prayer poured out of my heart and I wrote it in my journal. I paused for a moment to type it here for you, as my heart is on fire and the Father is listening. Join me?
I lift before you, Father:
Orphans of Ukraine
Families of those brutally killed by ISIS and others
Barry Obama and his family
Bibi Netanyahu and his family
Our own children to be strengthened, trained for war against the dragon of Revelation 12, prepared by you to conquer in Your name.
Father, we ask you to choose Samuels in these locations of persecution, prophets young and old who hear Your voice and obey You, trust You. COURAGE to them and PEACE to their souls in Jesus’ name.
I honor you Father, and I trust your decisions and your timing. Yet my soul wiggles out from under their sufferings and I cry out for them, “O GOD, REND THE HEAVENS AND COME DOWN. Let the FEAR OF THE LORD strike all your enemies and your friends, that ALL THE EARTH WILL FEAR YOU from the smallest to the greatest. I want to wave the banner of the Cross of Christ above all who bear the sword of hate and above all who are afflicted, chased, and wounded.
I am not God, so I ask in human terms and I ask you to make my heart and prayers right before God. Oh, Lord . . . HOW LONG? Your people show love, not hate, forgiveness, not revenge. They follow the teachings of Christ–will you also allow them to follow His victory over satan, death, hell, and the grave? My problems are miniscule compared to theirs.
Father, please send your secrets to your people. You said, “The secret of the Lord is with them that fear Him.” I claim that now for my Christian family.
Let all who call upon you hear Your voice of counsel, wisdom, might, fire, burning, judgment, and fear. RAISE UP INTERCESSORS who cooperate with Holy Spirit in voicing the Father’s heart with holiness and authority.
Ignite all of our hearts with fearless courage to obey Your voice at all costs. Jesus, as you walk among your churches, we look for you. All eyes turn to You, Jesus, as we share in your sufferings. “That we may know YOU and the power of your resurrection, and the fellowship of your sufferings, and be conformed to your death.”
Bury us with you, Jesus, baptize us with you, Jesus, birth us into your kingdom, and raise us up in your holy resurrection in the last day. Deliver us from this world of corruption and SHOOT US LIKE ARROWS INTO THE HEART OF YOUR DIVINE PURPOSE.
We yield our members to you (Romans 12). We offer ourselves as a living sacrifice, found holy and acceptable in the eyes of God.
Oh, YES, GOD, rend the heavens and come down. Come quickly, Lord Jesus. The Spirit and the bride say, “COME, LORD JESUS, COME.” Amen, and so it is.
Amen, Father. So be it!

Dear Hope, Thank you for this post and the awesome prayer for our persecuted brothers and sisters. When Joy, my daughter, and I were praying last night, we lifted up your prayer in agreement before our Father. Your prayer reminded me of the lamenting part of worship before the Throne. And your prayer reminded me of John 14:12-14. Jesus said that we would do the works that He is doing and even greater works than these. He fulfilled prophecy when he stood and read Isaiah 61 in the synagogue. He proclaimed freedom for the captives. I really believe the greater works are in prayer because He proclaims the greater works in verse 12 and then says that we can ask for anything in His name and He will do it in verses 13 and 14. Jesus opened the blind eyes, yet He left the greater work for us to open the eyes of the spiritually blind. He made the deaf to hear and in His name, He leads us to open the ears of the spiritually deaf. He set the prisoners free and leads us to open the doors of people’s spiritual prisons through prayer. Prayer is the work of the kingdom so that the gates of hell do not prevail against us. That’s why we are called to be prayer warriors. And your prayer made me long to be able to pray with you. I don’t know how or when, but I long to do battle in prayer with you, sweet sister. Julie

Julie, I believe you’re right about prayer. “More things are wrought by prayer than this world dreams of.” I am utterly impressed with the forgiveness flowing out of the hearts and mouths and prayers of the Christians whose brothers, sons, and fathers were brutally murdered by ISIS in February. I saw a you tube video that showed the pastor who got up and led his congregation in praying for their enemies. He shared that there was ONE ISIS soldier that he knows who’s repented and received Christ as Savior. When he said that, the whole church went up in praise and applause to the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. THEY are TEACHING US how to love, forgive, and walk through a darker valley than we can imagine here in the USA. How blessed we are to be part of the body of Christ in the Middle East right now. May we do our part in praying for them and linking arms with them. And yes, let’s pray. Phone conferences work. = )
