PRAYER ALERT: Two Friends in Danger

I’ve been generating prayer for two friends, and ask if you will pray for them as God puts them on your heart?

1. Baltimore violence–I have a dear friend (J.) who is within a mile of the violence.  She has two babies.  Her husband just navigated his way home from work in DC.

2. Himalayan earthquake in Nepal–I have a dear friend (MK) who is a missionary on one of those mountaintops in the Himalayas. I’ve had no news from her.  She cares for orphans.

NEWS.  My friend J. from Baltimore told me this:  “Pastors and men of faith took to the streets to stop it.  They need prayer!”

I have to say this.  These pastors going to the streets to defend their homes, black robed regimentneighbors, and communities are like the Black Robed Regiment of the Revolutionary War era, men of God who left their black robes at their pulpits and changed into a uniform to go to battle.  I’ve seen this coming in America and I give God glory for men of God who will go to the front lines as God send them.  GLORY!!

This is extremely serious. People today are nervous because it’s obvious that our help is not coming from the Federal Government.  Our help is not coming from gun control.  Our help is not coming from a politician or a new law.  Our helps comes from the LORD of HOSTS, and HE WILL SPEAK to HIS PEOPLE and SEND HIS PEOPLE into crises.  We all thank God for police protection and all that still remains of our federal protection.  But the LORD GOD JEHOVAH, HE is GOD.  Period.

Can I get an AMEN somebody?

About Lift the Cross of Jesus!

My day job is writing--I'm an author and publisher of a number of books. More on that later. But there is nothing of greater importance to me than the early morning hours I spend with the Creator of the Universe. Although He knows everything there is to know, His greatest delight isn't to give us knowledge, but to give us love. My highest joy is to watch the sun rise with notebook in hand and write the words he speaks to my heart. I want to share some of those words with you here . . . words on the cross.

  1. Amen and amen. Praying. Rejoicing that our help is ONLY from Him. All else is a weak and broken arrow. My heart cry this morning: we need transformation and it is birthed in the prayer closet and taken to the streets.
