MK is OK! YAY! I want to update the prayer request from yesterday. THANK YOU to each one who gave a high five, an amen, or prayer for J. and MK. I heard from MK in the wee hours of the morning after last evening’s blog. Here’s her report:
MK’s Personal Experience
MK said, “In a few days I will go to the capitol city when its safe to travel on mountain roads due to aftershocks and will follow a God directed plan to assist. This gives me time to pray and collect resources to help my brothers and sisters there. Although I am only 2-3 hours from one epicenter I am fine as GOD protected me and those around me.”
UNICEF estimates 1 million children in urgent need of food, water, shelter and blankets. Just today one of my colleagues in the capitol informed me that he and his wife and 18 month old baby were living outside due to their home being severely damaged! The aftershocks could cause it to collapse. I felt so helpless and began to count our resources to see how we can help him and others get into safe places. My assistant and social worker comes from one of those villages that was hit very hard!
Give “a Cup of Water” in Crisis
No donation is too small. You may give directly to MK online so the money can be used NOW rather than later. Click here to give online. Your money will go to MK to help her gather resources needed for her trip in a few days.
Please agree with me that the people of Nepal will see their idols toppled and recognize their impotency. Pray for hearts to be open to receive God’s love and eyes to be open to see the truth, especially as MK (and other Christians) goes in to minister relief and comfort.
Right now, EVERYTHING these people depended upon has fallen down. Literally. They need a Savior and they know it.
