Will You Join Me at the Philadelphia Christian Writers Conference?

The blog has been quiet! We just returned today from vacation at Raystown Lake, Pennsylvania. We had a sweet time with Scott’s parents and sister and her husband, and this Wednesday we will meet our new baby granddaughter for the first time! We are blessed.

If you are new to this blog, you may not know that I’ve authored three novels, several nonfiction books of my own, and I’ve ghostwritten or edited more than 40 books. I enjoy writing–I enjoy “talking” to you on this blog as well, and especially treasure hearing back from those of you who take the time to reply and contribute to the blog posts!

I will be playing the piano during the morning sessions and teaching a workshop at the Greater Philadelphia Christian Writers Conference July 29th-August 1st. I will be wearing a new hat this year–acquisitions editor for Destiny Image Publishing.

First, please check out the director’s blog on 7 reasons why you need to come to the Philadelphia Christian Writers Conference!

Second, please check out what Hope will be up to this year! Read the conference blurb below:

Workshop: Explain to Me the Publishing Process (Saturday, 5E)

Destiny Image is specifically interested in books on strongly charismatic topics such as dream interpretation, the seer anointing, supernatural encounters, and intimacy with God. We prefer authors with an established platform, but we are open to manuscripts that present material and biblical teaching in a fresh, revelatory way. Other specific topics of interest to us are writing on spiritual warfare, positive end times perspective, and content related to the biblical feasts. We are accepting no fiction at this time.

What I am Interested in:

NONFICTION:  Articles, Bible studies, books, Christian living, Culture/Continuing Issues, Devotionals, Evangelism, Inspirational, Marriage, Memoir, Personal Experience, Prayer, Profiles, Spiritual Growth, Spiritual Warfare

Please pray about attending!  I will be taking free 15-minute, one on one appointments with writers (or wannabe writers) and I will also take five paid 30 minute critiques.  The info on all of this is on the website under the Appointments Tab.

If you decide to come, you don’t have to set up an appointment at all.  You can attend classes of your choice, including continuing sessions by well seasoned, professional  Christian editors, agents, and authors.

Please say you’ll pray about it?!

About Lift the Cross of Jesus!

My day job is writing--I'm an author and publisher of a number of books. More on that later. But there is nothing of greater importance to me than the early morning hours I spend with the Creator of the Universe. Although He knows everything there is to know, His greatest delight isn't to give us knowledge, but to give us love. My highest joy is to watch the sun rise with notebook in hand and write the words he speaks to my heart. I want to share some of those words with you here . . . words on the cross.
