When my mother showed me her paraphrase of the Lord’s prayer, one line caught my eye. I memorized it because, frankly, I needed it, too:
“Lord, help me to forgive those who tread on my faith, my feelings, and my heart.”
Amen. If you find yourself dreading the family gathering this Thanksgiving, determine now to forgive all past wrongs as well as whatever may pop up this Thursday! I hope you enjoy some turkey, too!
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

About Lift the Cross of Jesus!
My day job is writing--I'm an author and publisher of a number of books. More on that later. But there is nothing of greater importance to me than the early morning hours I spend with the Creator of the Universe. Although He knows everything there is to know, His greatest delight isn't to give us knowledge, but to give us love.
My highest joy is to watch the sun rise with notebook in hand and write the words he speaks to my heart. I want to share some of those words with you here . . . words on the cross.
Hope, have a happy Thanksgiving.

What has helped me – Along time ago I decided not to take offense
at anyone’s words or deeds. You would be surprised how effective this can be.
God bless to all and don’t forget to thank The Father – Son – and Holy Spirit.

Bill, I always say that we must jump over the fences of offenses and never look back! Love, love, love, and not repeat that wrong to others.

Hope, I’d like to use your note on my 11/24 blog post. May I use your horn of plenty as the beginning picture? If not, I’ll leave it with your link and note. Whatever you want.
I do trust your Thanksgiving will be blessed, my friend.
Love, Jean

I will not use it, except with the link you’ve given. It would not fit at the top, as the subject is on prayer. Thanks, anyway.
